| Excerpt from Watchman Nee's book: "The Normal Christian Life"
Being Wholly His
When the Galilean boy brought his bread to the Lord, what did the Lord do with it? He broke it. God will always break what is offered to Him.
He breaks what He takes, but after breaking it He blesses and uses it
to meet the needs of others. After you give yourself to the Lord,
he begins to break what we offered to Him. Everything seems to go
wrong, and you protest and find fault with the ways of God. But
to stay there is to be no more than just a broken vessel - no good for
the world because you have gone too far for the world to use you, and
no good for God either because you have not gone far enough for Him to
use you. You are out of gear with the world, and you have a
controversy with God. This is the tragedy of many a Christian.
My giving of myself to the Lord must be an initial fundamental act. Then, day by day,
I must go on giving to Him, not finding fault with His use of me, but
accepting with praise even what the flesh finds hard. That way
lies true enrichment.
I am the Lord's and now no longer reckon myself to be my own, but acknowledge in everything his ownership and authority.
That is the attitude God delights in, and to maintain it is true
consecration. I do not consecrate myself to be a missionary or a
pracher; I consecrate myself to God to do His will where I am,
be it in school, office or kitchen or wherever He may, in His wisdom,
send me. Whatever He ordains for me is sure to be the very best,
for nothing but good can come to those who are wholly His. May we
always be possessed by the consciousness that we are not our own.

| I don't normally do this - cause sometimes i think posting up lyrics is
kinda lame. But, this time - i shall sub-come.!!
Eric has introduced me to Jack Johnson - and it seems like i'm kinda
behind, cause everyone already knows who he is! But listening to his
songs non-stop has made me errie-ly happy. Like, in happy to a
point where its kinda unreal! His music kinda reminds of what you'll
listen to when you watch a sentimental photo slideshow.. Makes me
have this nice funny feeling :)
So - one of his great songs!
Introducing Mr. Jack Johnson: Better Together!
There is no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard And no song that I could sing, but I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a shoebox of photographs with sepia tone loving
Love is the answer At least for most of the questions in my heart Why are we here and where do we go And how come it's so hard It's not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving I'll tell you one thing It's always better when we're together
Mmm, it's always better when we're together Yeah, we'll look at the stars when we're together Well, it's always better when we're together Yeah, it's always better when we're together
And all of these moments just might find a way into my dreams tonight But I know that they'll be gone when the morning light sings Or brings new things for tomorrow night you see That they'll be gone too, too many things I have to do But if all of these dreams might find their way into my day to day scene I'd be under the impression I was somewhere in between With only two, just me and you, not so many things we got to do Or places we got to be, we'll sit beneath the mango tree now
Yeah, it's always better when we're together Mmm, we're somewhere in between together Well, it's always better when we're together Yeah, it's always better when we're together (mmm)
I believe in memories, they look so, so pretty when I sleep And when I wake up, you look so pretty sleeping next to me But there is not enough time And there is no, no song I could sing And there is no combination of words I could say But I will still tell you one thing We're better together
This song is for you!
and on a side note - i want to thank all
of you that have been praying for me. This term hasn't been the
easiest - but God has taught me a lot, and its through your prayers
that have really pulled me through. I haven't felt this happy in
a long time - and I didn't think I would. But God is good, He
always hears. So thanks to you all!
You make my days all the more brighter :)
